Suggestion
The above chart shows relative fluctuations in spending across different market segments and demographic groups.
Across most spending types and age groups, spending was augmented 5 to 20% or remained stable. For a minority of cases, spending diminished 5 to 15%. In general, food and housing spending increased across all reported demographic groups. Among reported data in these categories, there were no discrepancies between genders and increases were relatively stronger when age increased. Housing spending costs are not reported for children and adolescents, presumably because these costs are absorbed by their parents’ housing costs. Clothing spending decreased consistently for female groups of all ages, while it remained relatively steady for males. Conversely, there was no difference in gender-related spending for entertainment costs. They were stable or showed minor fluctuations across all groups.
Overall, this chart captures which market areas and demographic groups have experienced spending changes and which have stayed the same.
